Seger was asked by the City of Wilmington to create a logo for its new Fringe Festival planned for later in the year. Deciding he needed a fresh outlook, he enlisted the assistance of his seven-year-old granddaughter, Meghan Sarah McLaughlin of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. Together, they came up with this engaging, colorful design. |
The committee decided to go with Seger's simpler, more conventional logo about unconventional art, poking fun at the iconic Caesar Rodney statue in Rodney Square. |
